Maria Brink

 Maria Brink (born December 18, 1977) is an American singer and songwriter, most famously known as the frontwoman of the metal band In This Moment. The band has gone to release seven studio albums and garner four nominations, including two from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been recognized as "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010, one of the 11 females from heavy metal who count by Yell! Magazine in 2012, and was honored by Revolver Magazine as one of the "25 most beautiful women in Hard Rock & Metal".The first band Brink was ever a part of was one of the Albany New York-based band called Pulse before she moved to California. At the age of 25, she joined Revolver old She moved to Los Angeles to search for an opportunity to join a band. She was employed in shops, sang in bars and performed in cafes. In 2004, she was introduced to band members Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth rebuked Brink due to her gender. Howorth apologized two weeks later and hired Brink to be his singer. They came together as Dying Star together with Jeff Fabb, drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel, guitarist and Josh Newell, bassist joined the group. Soon after, the band changed their name to In This Moment
